Alright, now you have a $30 credit in your Yahoo Search Marketing account, but now
what? In this section we will show you how you can turn a profit and at a bare
minimum, earn your initial $55 back in affiliate commissions. The following techniques are promotion techniques that top affiliate marketers use, and if you spend some time following them, YOU WILL earn money!!

Let’s get right into things. Below we have listed some great techniques you should
implement when creating your Yahoo Search Marketing campaigns.Product Related Keywords If you are looking to create a highly successful (and highly targeted) Pay-per-click campaign, you should begin with product related keywords. These are keywords that include the actual name of a product or name of a company and that related to something that someone would type into a search if they were serious about buying something online.

The thing that is great about product related keywords is the fact that the consumerhas been pre-exposed to branding and often times has already perform a certain levelof research before typing a product search term into an engine like Yahoo. These are consumers that are very far along in the purchasing lifecycle and are much more likely to convert into a sale than someone searching a broad keyword.

For example, a keyword like “make money” is not a very high converting keyword.
People that search this term are likely looking for free information and are in the early stages of their research. However, if someone types in the search term “who loves money review”, they have already done some research, they have already been exposed to prior branding, and chances are they have their credit card on the table ready to make a purchase! How to Find Product Keywords
There are many affiliates networks that contain thousand of products.

  • Clickbank.com alone contains over 10,000 digital product which equates to a lot of product keywords.There are 100,000’s of product related keywords that could be derived from this network alone. In saying this, there are many networks that are just as large (if not larger than Clickbank) that also contain 1000’s of products. Here are some networks

Remember, a product keyword can contain more than just the product name. In the
example in the above section we used the “who loves money review” combination, but
you can also append many other keywords to the root phrase “who loves money”.Here are just a couple of examples:

  • who loves money ebook
  • wholovesmoney
  • wholovesmoney.com
  • who loves money info
  • review who loves money
  • get who loves money

Buy / Purchase / Order Keywords

If someone was really serious about buying something online, what do you think they
would search for in a search engine? We think we know what you are going to say just by reading the title of this section…buy, purchase, and order keywords.
We will look at an example. Let’s say someone was doing some research online for
golf clubs. The first search term they typed in was “golf club”. This is very broad and chances are this was just the first step in their research.

After a little research, this person finds out that they are really looking to buy a “driver”. So they type in, “golf drivers” into Yahoo. They then find out the driver that they really want is the Taylor
Made r7 Driver. At this point they have made a decision. They want to buy this driver, and they want it now. The next search they do is “buy taylor made r7 driver” as this person is really looking to buy.

This is where you come in with your ad and pick-up the quick sale with minimal work.
It will not take hard work to pre-sell this customer…they are already sold! You could not find a more qualified customer online than people that add buy, order, or purchase to their search terms.

By taking advantage of these keywords, you will be taking advantage of some of the
highest converting terms on the Internet. Sure, you may not get loads of traffic,but this is not the goal. We are aiming for a positive ROI and to turn our existing $55 at Yahoo into something much bigger. Buy, order, and purchase keywords will do this.
Solution Keywords Hungry audiences are typically people who are in need of something. People who need to solve a problem (and need to solve it quickly) are highly qualified customers.

By promoting under these types of keywords, you will be able to experience very high conversions, especially if you send traffic to a highly relevant page that will actually help them solve their problem.

Here are a few examples of these types of keywords:

Now if you append these keywords to actual problems that you are promoting, you will
be able to easily create lists of very targeted and high converting keywords. For
example if we take a common problem like “acne”, here are some keywords that we could create from the list
:

-get rid of acne
-put an end to acne
-resolve acne
-stop acne
-prevent acne
-avoid acne
-acne solution
-rid acne

Where to Send Your Traffic?

It is important that regardless of whether you are direct linking to a merchant page, or linking to one of your own pages, that you send your traffic to a page that is relevant to your keywords.
The keyword is only the first step in your conversion, and without having a relevant
product that visitors will be interested in buying, you will not make a conversion. You can take advantage of the many affiliate networks (the ones we have listed previously) to find products to promote, or you can do a search within Google/Yahoo to find an affiliate program that aligns with your keywords.

Yahoo allows you to link directly to the product, so you do not need a website. For
example, if you were to promote the “Who Loves Money” e-book, your links would look
like this:

Notice that the destination URL is different than the display URL. You want your display URL to be the raw domain of the site you send your traffic to, and your destination URL to be the affiliate link. You could then create a campaign around Who Loves Money using the keyword
techniques we mentioned above and begin driving traffic to the site.

The Money DOES NOT Have to Stop at $150
Now that you have the tools to get to $150, you can now work on duplicating your
success and building your business organically. Put the money you earn back into your advertising. Also continue building your campaigns with highly relevant and quality keywords using the techniques that we have outlined above.
Rinse and repeat…Rinse and repeat! Rinse the keyword out of your campaigns that
are receiving a lot of impressions with no clicks and also remove any keywords from
your campaign that are not performing.
